| Tortoise and the Hare |
| 11.28.05 (5:36 am) [edit] |
|
& nbsp; Have you ever heard the story of the tortoise and the hare? Well that story is quite similar to the working relationship between me and my brother. My brother, Jacob, doesn't have as hard of a time as I do through school work. Wich is great for him. But since he skates through the work he thinks he can skate through other parts of life just as easy. A few examples are: our point scores, sometimes behavior, and our guitar praticing and playing.
& nbsp; First, comes our point scores. My brother and I earn points by helping around the house. Mostly helping pick up and clean. But Jacob slacks offs. He has a goal for one hundred and twenty points and after he reaches that he figures he has no other reason to keep earning points. The way this is similar to our story we were earlier referencing, the hare decided he was to fast and he took a nap and ended up falling behind. The difference is that my bro. just decided he would take a rest because he reached his intention.
& nbsp; The only flaw my brother has in behavior (sometimes) is that he can be aggrivating to every body because he loves to create sound efects. The way I see it is that he feels that he is able to slack here and there because he is so ahead in the race and is very good quite often. But what he does not recongnize is that once he takes a nap the tortoise is right behind him always trying and going as fast as it can.
& nbsp; Last, comes one of the most crutial points our guitar playing. He does not practice as much as he should, or as much as he is told. But he is a brilliant young man and will hopefully soon figure out that if he doesn't pick it up a little he will be left in the dust when I start a band. Just like the tortoise and the hare.
& nbsp; Ofcourse I am not perfect but I try my hardest. And I know that one day Jacob will do just as good and try as hard as me and every one else. He might be the hare but I am assured that one day he will be tied with the tortoise. And they will go over the finish line together.

| What If? |
| 11.21.05 (4:58 am) [edit] |
|
What if, what if, what if? What if Dr. Seuss was president? What do you think would happen if Dr. Seuss was president? Heres what I know would happen.
& nbsp; First, Dr. Seuss would have to be elected. I'm sure he would throw parties in the street and there would be crazy worlds envinted with the power of the mind and through writing. Houses would become jungles and mazes full of monkeys and forun people and animals simiular to the ones in his story books. Then finally he would get elected and then the real craziness would begin.
& nbsp; Once he was elected and put into office he would make sure that schools all over the United States were in tip top condition in acodimics and in fun within the schools. He would be selling his books to people as often as he could. Dr. Seuss would ofcourse keep writing his stories. Most likely the Dr. would hire and pay good money for someone to make a world or two of his real so that children could realize the way one of his worlds in real life.
& nbsp; Th ere would be issues that would efect the people of the United States. Take war for instince. Dr. Seuss would't take our country into war enless he absolutley had to. If it came to that he would get plans of action from not just the goverment afilliated peoples but also intelligant people of society. I would beleive that he would envolve people of the public (poor, rich, any kind of people) in any kind of decision that would drastically efect the State. He would try to keep the peace.
& nbsp; So what if? What do you think would happen if Dr. Seuss was president? What oppinion do you have. What is your what if? &nbs p;

| animal |
| 11.07.05 (6:02 am) [edit] |
|
Have you ever thought of what animal you would like to be if you could be one for fourty eight hours? I do. If I could be any animal I wanted to be for fourty eight hours, I would be a snow leapord.
The reason I would pick the snow leapord is because they're so beutiful. Also, I would pick this gracious animal because it is a relative of the cat family and I fond over cats. I would pick this animal because I have always loved these cats and have always wanted to see how they live and act on a day to day basis. So this would be a perfect oportunity to learn about these interests of this particular animal that I have.
& nbsp; The animal I would choose to be is a snow leapord. I would have the chance to furfill every speculation of this specie I would want to know and be able to come back to my family and tell them of every great adventure and sight I experianced while being a snow leapord. So tell me, what animal would you be?

| How the Computer Effected my Life |
| 11.02.05 (3:53 am) [edit] |
|
Truthfully the computer didn't do much to effect my life. Ofcourse it's nice to have internet, and to be able to play games, and chat but it didn't make any needed impacts on my life. The impacts it did make were: laziness, and being on a lot more than I was before. Before I wasn't on the computer near as much as I am now. Now that my family and I have a high speed conection it is fast easy and fun to be on internet. Then again the computer allows me to look up things I need to know. So another impact would be to have another conection to knowledge and being able to learn. I can look up things for school, fun, and things that I am just enterested in. So that's the only impacts that the computer has had on me.

| Trick or Treat |
| 10.26.05 (3:29 am) [edit] |
|
It was Halloween night. A young sixteen year old girl with long dark brown hair, was waiting around her house for some dressed up tricker treaters. After an hour and a half exactly, passed she got bored with sitting by the door. She decided she would watch television. She picked up the remote control and flicked on the t.v. ON was Freddy Vs. Jason. Every frighting sight the young girl jumped or hid her eyes. After Naomi was therty five minutes into the horror flick the door bell rang.
N aomi went to answer the door with her bowl of candy. To her surprisement there was no child at the door. She figured that it was one of the pranks the kids do on Halloween. She gentely closed the door and with the last click of the door she sat back down. As she returned to her movie the phone rang, bring, bring, bring. At the third ring she picked it up. All she heard was deep breathing. She replied, "Ok, that's enogh this has gone on to far! As she was going to hang up a voice started to speak."How are you Naomi? I would be very careful if I were you. YOU are next." He smiled and said half laughing on the other line. Naomi scared for her life threw down the phone and locked all the doors and windows. Then she sat back down and flicked off her movie. She sat there scared and shaking awating the arrival of her parents. All the sudden there were knocks on the door and the phone was ringing at the same time. Bring, bring, knock, knock, bring. With tears rolling down her face like rain she screams stop please stop! At that very moment everything was silent. And then there was one more knock at the door. She slowly walks over to it and answers. Throughout the neighborhood you could here a bloody grooling scream.
& nbsp; After that night the young beautiful long dark brown haired girl was never seen or heard of again. What happened to her? No one knows. But since the girls dissaperance the family has moved and no one has gone trick or treating in that neighborhood since.

| Quantum |
| 10.24.05 (3:43 am) [edit] |
|
If you have ever thought or even took a look at quantum physics you would know that we use only a small portion of our brains. Also, you would find that our brains do not know the difference between an experience we are having and our memory of it. As I looked into this subject I asked my self wich is more important? Our experience of the event or the recolation of it? My answer is the memories of the experience I am rememboring. Many people ask why. I tell them it is because once a event happens it is over. If you enjoyed that event than you would have remembrance of that certain event. If we had no recolection of what happened we could not remember how much fun we had or if we hated it. We would not know if we would want to enjoy an experience like or similar to it. So yes I do find the memory of what happened to be more important than what actually happened. Even though there are set backs to just the memory I find there to be more advantages than disadvantages.

| skiers |
| 10.17.05 (3:16 am) [edit] |
|
& nbsp; Thursday October 13 two thousand and five, there were two cross country skiers skiing in the mountains. They were best known in the state. One day thay decided to go farther up then they ever had before. After skiing for about an hour on top of the fourteen thousand elevation Rocky mountain the couple decided to take a break and find a cafe to have lunch in, and take a quick look at the little town.
& nbsp; Joseph and Sarah found no cafe after for an hour and fourty five minutes. Sarah thought she was going to die if she didn't eat soon. Unfortunatley for these two they would be the ones being eaten. As they were hiing into aspen trees they came across a small log cabin. It looked peaceful and cozy. This cabin was out far far away from the world. What we would call out in the middle of no where. Whoever lived here sure does like their privosy. Joseph decided they should keep moving. Sarah had a different idea. She decided they should stay and ask for food since the car is in the driveway and it appears that the front door is open.
& nbsp; As they aproach the front door they smell something scrumtious. On the table sits a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, and buttered roles. The to of them knock and ask if anyone is home. No one answers. Sarah blinded from reality with hunger she walks into the cabin not listening to Joe. " Don't go in there, the foods not for us." By this time Sarah is already chomping down and talks Joe into eating with her. Just as they are finished a family of four walks in ready to fill their stomachs. They are apolled at what they see before them and shout at the two.
& nbsp; After that day No one ever heard or seen JOseph and sarah Bennings again. Some say they are the families' personal slaves. But most say they were eaten in place of the families dinner. Eather way they have not yet been found and most say they never will be.

| homeschool |
| 09.28.05 (6:14 am) [edit] |
|
& nbsp; Hi, my name is Paige and I am in homeschool. Many people think that homechool is rediculous. Even though there is advantages to this schooling. As well as disadvantages. So I will be informing you on these today.
& nbsp; First of all the advantages. There are so many. My favorite is that you can learn so much more in homeschool than you can in public schools. Also it gives you time with your family, wich I love. Another advantage I love about homeschool is that you can do work at your own pace. As I am doing at this very moment.
& nbsp; Now for the not so exciting parts of this lifestyle. The worst is that you still have to get up early. Oh, ya and that I have to spend the whole day with my brother. But even that's not so bad. Most people think that the worst thing about it is that ther is not any other kids to hang out with, but not me, I happy with that.
& nbsp; Pretty neat, don't you think? Hopefully now you a little more about homeschooling than you did. And maybe you want think so bad of it, because there is advantages as well as disadvantages. But they're not that bad.

| All About Me |
| 09.21.05 (2:41 am) [edit] |
|
& nbsp; Hello, I am Paige Chatry. You're fixing to read all about me. First, I am 12 years of age. I have many hobbies. My favorite hobbies are writing, making crafts, playing guitar, and learning. My favorite above all of them is writing. Also, my favorite colors are purple and black. Finally I love to hang out with my family.
& nbsp; Many people look down on my style of clothig. Manely because I don't care. The way I see it is, "If it's comfortable than where it". Half the time I match, the other half is usually crazy and mitch matched. It's just the way I am. It's not because I want to blend in or stand out, it's just who I am and how I feel that day!
& nbsp; If you are going to read about me you have to know that I am a writing fanatic. When I am bored I like to entertain my self by writing a nice structured piece. My writing are mostly fiction and non-fiction.
& nbsp; Next, my favorite colors are purple and black. I have purple everything. And quite a bit of them have a lot of black in them. I also love black. Who doesn't?
& nbsp; I also love to hang out with my family. They are great, they are funny, sweet, nice, and kind. We spend a lot of time together. And I couldn't be happier!

| move! |
| 09.19.05 (4:51 am) [edit] |
|
Me, my brother, my mom, and my dad are all trying to get my grandma and papaw to move. And so far I think it's working because grandma has been looking in the papers for an apartment here lately. So I am really excited. The mane reason I want them to move here is because they are so much happier here than where they are currentaly living. We are not the only ones that want them to move here. My Uncle Ed and Aunt Sherry also want them to move. So hopefully they'll get to that point soon. Well that's all for today. BYE!

| New Orleans |
| 09.12.05 (3:51 am) [edit] |
|
There has been a terrable tragidy that has swept New Orleans. Not only has this hurt and affected people that live in this state but also people in other places. It has also worried and hurt people that are related and are friends with people in New Orleans. I and others are so discusted at how so many do not care about anything that has happened. So don't be like those people. CARE!
